Description

We all have a vision for what we want our learner-centered environment to look like, feel like, and sound like. After spending time exploring essential skills, you will focus on how to co-design learning with your learners to grow a collaborative vision and help them discover what skills and dispositions empower them to become successful, POWERful learners. This course requires a lesson or unit that you would like to transform using this process.

Learning Intentions:

  • Apply elements of the hero's journey story framework to the learning experience.
  • Develop a vision for your learners.
    • What does learning look like/sound like/feel like?
  • Purposefully embed essential skills into learning experiences that support your vision.
  • Learn how to plan for success by turning obstacles into opportunities.

eCampus by CESA #1 is a collection of virtual learning experiences covering a wide range of topics that focus on building the capacity of educators to positively impact learners. These learning experiences include opportunities for reflection on, and application of, specific instructional practices, strategies, and frameworks. The Learner-Centered Practice and Leading Learner-Centered Education series of courses align with the i4PL model.
