Transformation of the educational experience requires local, state, and federal policy that supports each learner. In this course, leaders of organizations will learn how to align local policy to remove barriers and support the depth and sustainability of a learner-centered system. Additionally, they will learn to challenge state and national policies not aligned with the aspirational vision and advocate for policies that are.

Learning Intentions:

  • Analyze local policies and procedures related to building, growing, and sustaining a personalized and competency-based system
  • Create a process for reviewing local policy and procedures to codify commitment to a shared vision
  • Understand the "call to action" and begin to create a plan to advocate for change in both state and national policy

 

eCampus by CESA #1 is a collection of virtual learning experiences covering a wide range of topics that focus on building the capacity of educators to positively impact learners. Each course will provide an overview of the “why” and “what” behind a specific practice and then take a deeper dive into HOW educators can bring the practice to life in their unique context. These learning experiences include opportunities for reflection on, and application of, specific instructional practices, strategies, and frameworks. The Leading Learner-Centered Education series of courses align with the i4PL Honeycomb framework for learner-centered practice.

All eCampus courses are self-paced, asynchronous and designed to take approximately four hours to complete. Content in courses designated with a I, II, or III are designed to be taken in order. All other courses can be accessed in any order. Enrollment is rolling due to the self-paced nature of the courses.

Important Dates: Registration opens May 16, 2023; Access to courses begins July 1, 2023; Registration closes May 15, 2024; All coursework must be completed by June 15, 2024.
