Engaging Students...Creating Learners
You believe in creating a learner-centered environment for your learners, but where do you start? As an educator, you have to examine your own mindsets and beliefs to set the stage for transforming your space from a legacy environment to one that empowers learners and promotes independence. This course is designed for educators familiar with the idea of learner-centered practice, but who are at the beginning stages of making the shift in their practice. You will walk through several activities and experiences that will help frame your thinking and identify starting points to develop a learner-centered environment.
This course is aligned with the i4PL Honeycomb framework for learner-centered practice.

eCampus by CESA #1 is a collection of virtual learning experiences covering a wide range of topics that focus on building the capacity of educators to positively impact learners. Each course will provide an overview of the “why” and “what” behind a specific practice and then take a deeper dive into HOW educators can bring the practice to life in their unique context. These learning experiences include opportunities for reflection on, and application of, specific instructional practices, strategies, and framewors. This course aligns with the i4PL Honeycomb framework for learner-centered practice. All eCampus courses are self-paced, asynchronous and designed to take approximately four hours to complete. Content in courses designated with a I, II, or III are designed to be taken in order. All other courses can be accessed in any order. Enrollment is rolling due to the self-paced nature of the courses. Important Dates: Registration opens May 16, 2023; Access to courses begins July 1, 2023; Registration closes May 15, 2024; All coursework must be completed by June 15, 2024. |
