Description
This offering is Day 2-3 of a 4-day series, that must be completed in order. Registering teams should work with their WiMLSS Project Coach to register their administrator and team lead(s) for Virtual Day 1 before and full team for Virtual Day 4 after this event. Teams must register for all four days before beginning a series.
Audience:
This training series is intended for school teams that include administration, classroom teacher, student services, and WiMLSS-Behavior (PBIS) Universal representation. This training is designed for teams that have never been trained WiMLSS-Behavior (PBIS) Selected practices, teams or buildings that have had significant staff turnover, or teams that were trained prior to 2018 and want to update their training and implementation knowledge. Ideal teams have 6-10 members who are committed to working together for at least a full year and who are prepared to engage families, community members, and students in decision-making.
Team Objectives:
- Define the six features of selected interventions and the connection with universal systems
- Analyze current interventions for the six features of selected interventions
- Create a plan to develop or refine check-in check-out (CICO), modified CICO, social academic instruction (SAI), mentoring, and brief behavior intervention plans (BIP) that include all six intervention features
- Create a plan to train, support, and gather feedback from students, staff, families
- Practice systems-level discussions and data-based decision-making
Registration includes a continental breakfast and lunch.

This offering is part of the WiMLSS Project. This event is partially funded through the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) to cover the instructional and administrative fees, which we estimate to be around $2,250 per day for a team of six. Any fee recovery is charged to cover meals, materials, and venue.
