CESA #1 Statewide School-Based OT/PT Conference 2024

It’s time!! We are excited to announce that registration is open for the virtual CESA #1 Statewide School-based OT/PT Conference 2024.  This year's theme "Inspire. Innovate. Influence. Supporting Access and Participation for All." 

Joining the kickoff presentation this year is the perfect keynote, internationally acclaimed speaker and supporter of inclusive practices for all, Shelley Moore, PhD. Dr. Moore will join us LIVE from her home in Canada for an unforgettable conference kick-off as the keynote session on November 7, 2024 at 9am CST. If you’re already a fan of Dr. Shelley Moore, you know what fun we'll have together! If you don’t know her yet, you don’t want to miss a chance to hear a motivational and lively session on "Supporting One, Supporting All: Collaborative Classroom Support Models for Inclusive Classrooms."

As a special educator, author, and professor, Dr. Shelley Moore has an uncanny ability to present big ideas about inclusive school practices for children in ways you could never imagine! Listen as she teaches about how supplementary aids and services are like serving baked potatoes or how reading seed packets is similar to an approach for learning what students need. In her book, One Without the Other, read about what true inclusion should look like. 

In addition to Dr. Shelley Moore’s keynote presentation, you'll have access to view pre-recorded, on-demand sessions from local and national experts on a variety of timely topics for school-based OTs and PTs. Select and watch sessions you’d like to see at your own pace and on your own schedule during a two-month window: November 7, 2024 - January 17, 2025! CEUs will be available for most sessions.  Registration closes at 3:30PM on December 17, 2024!

We have some fun planned! Tune in for prize giveaways and our interactive, virtual round-table sessions over the lunch hour on November 7 and 8 where you can ask questions and hear more about the topics you care about! Also, SWAG bags are back and will be mailed to the first 400 registrants with some fun items included!!  Be sure to complete your mailing address when you register to receive the SWAG bag and other prizes.

As in years past, we'll provide CEUs approved by the Wisconsin PT Association (APTA Wisconsin), so those that need to renew their state license will have what they need.  ADDITIONALLY, BEGINNING WITH THE 2024 CONFERENCE, we are also providing CEUs approved by the Wisconsin OT Association (WOTA)!  OTs will have formally approved CEUs from WOTA for their license renewal in Wisconsin.  Certificates of attendance will be issued upon successful completion of each session, including its accompanying assessment. In addition to CEUs, the conference will again offer sessions to fulfill the ethics requirement for license renewal.
