Become an Effective Substitute Teacher 2025-26

In the state of Wisconsin individuals with a bachelor's degree or an associate's degree from an accredited institution are eligible to be a substitute teacher.

This two-day training will provide the basic skills necessary to successfully substitute teach at any level. Participants will also learn how to obtain a substitute teacher license. Participants must attend both days of training to obtain verification of training. 

Total cost: $300 (payment is due one week prior to the event start date - Please see payment policy for cancellation and refunds).

25-26 Training Dates*

• August 4 & 5, 2025 (virtual) - registration closed
• October 13 & 14, 2025 - registration closed
• January 15 & 16, 2026 (virtual) - registration closed
• April 9 & 10, 2026 (virtual)
• May 4 & 5, 2026 (virtual)

Each training date will run 8:30am-2:30pm

*Participants must attend two consecutive dates. Sessions cannot be interchanged.
