Social Studies Network 2025-26

The CESA 1 Social Studies Network provides K-12 educators a space to collaborate, explore solutions, and enhance instruction.

This network will:

• Foster collaboration among K-12 educators to share ideas, address challenges, and develop solutions for teaching Social Studies
• Provide professional development focused on instructional strategies, resources, and best practices
• Receive and discuss timely updates from DPI regarding policies and curriculum changes
• Engage participants in ongoing learning through group discussions and a book study

This network will included a book study. Participants will be required to purchase and bring their own book with them to the network meetings. The book title and author will be shared with participants prior to the first network meeting. 

This network has been thoughtfuly co-designed and co-led by classroom teacher, current WCSS president and WI Teacher of the Year, Sarah Kopplin.

• Principals
• Pre-Service Educators
  District teams are encouraged!
