Description
Join the CESA 1 Literacy Team through a blended learning approach as they guide you through the elements of reading research, theoretical models, and best practices for skilled reading instruction. Training includes diagnostic, explicit, systematic, and cumulative online courses that help unlock each child's deep reading brain through a culturally and linguistically preserving lens.
Participants will:

Engage in collaborative discussions and activities to develop targeted action plans for implementing science-aligned literacy practices

Explore ways to build capacity among educators and support staff to ensure consistent implementation of research-supported reading instruction throughout the school system

Develop understanding and focus around explicit instruction in foundational literacy skills, such as phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension, ensuring systematic progression and mastery

Acquire tools to guide you in conducting walkthroughs and look-fors in your buildings
