Description
Addressing Disproportionality Through System Change is three day series designed to encourage educators to reflect on the impact their current system has on learners and families. Participants will learn about important equity concepts that impact outcomes so they are better equipped to identify, disrupt, and dismantle systemic barriers to learning. The training sessions take place in December, January and February. Your local CESA WiMLSS Coach(es) will provide support as teams engage in follow-up planning to begin the work of systems change.
Intended Audience: This is a team-based training for a building or district team of up to 6 people. The same team should have previously attended, or plan to attend, the WiMLSS Project Framework Training. Priority will be given to districts with required improvement in the area of significant racial disproportionality.
Special note: This training is focused on the delivery system and not on specific cultural information. It is intended to connect to other offerings in the state such as professional learning opportunities offered by Educational Equity Network, etc.
Preparation: Please come to the first day of training with access to your student outcome data, any system assessment data (i.e. SIR, SAS, TFI), climate and/or Youth Risk Behavior Survey data, and your TAN Root Cause Analysis, if it has been completed, along with your CIP Rubric assessment.
