Foundational knowledge of the Framework for Teaching will support the understanding of the structure of, and help educators recognize the importance of, critical attributes in self-assessing practice. In this course, new educators will practice application of learning to teaching scenarios and reflect on current progress in their Educator Effectiveness Cycle.

Learning Intentions
• Recognize the structure of the Danielson (2022) Framework for Teaching (FfT)
• Apply knowledge of the Framework for Teaching scenarios
• Reflect on current progress in the Educator Effectiveness (EE) Cycle


The four courses that make up the New Educator Series are part of a collection of courses focused on building the capacity of educators through virtual means. These learning experiences include opportunities for reflection on, and application of, specific instructional practices, strategies, and frameworks. These courses are self-paced, asynchronous, and can be taken in any order.

The New Educator Series is offered via Buzz, the CESA 1 learning management platform. You will receive an email approximately three (3) business days following your registration that contains information for accessing your content.
